What is the definition of length?
The measurement of distance between two places is defined as length. Alternatively, it can be described as the distance between the ends of the longest horizontal dimension of an object. If the object is a rectangle, the length is the length of the longest edge of the rectangle.
The width of an object is the distance between its smallest horizontal dimensions. An object's height is measured in its vertical dimension, while its width is measured in its smallest horizontal dimension.
