The Development Center for Advanced Computing, also known as C-DAC, is located in CDAC Pune, Maharashtra. The institute was established by the Government of India in 1993 as an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Previously, the institute was established only as an R&D center, but 20 years later they started offering courses starting with only 20 students. The institute also provides services to various government bodies and armed forces by creating and maintaining their own websites. C-DAC has a vast network of training centers across the country. Pune: The campus placement of the February 2020 batch of C-DAC's Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) has started in full swing with over 250 students selected in the first two days by various organizations.

C-DAC's Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) offers PG-Diploma courses in various technical and engineering domains and trains around 7,000,000 annually.

These courses are recognized by the industry and contribute significantly to the IT industry in providing efficient and deployable human resources. These courses are conducted in two batches, one starts in February and the other in the month of August. Admission to these courses is through a nationwide computerized general admission test (C-CAT).

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the February 2020 period was extended, and the August 2020 batch could not be operated. Due to the large number of inquiries from candidates, C-DAC ACTS started short duration e-diploma courses in September 2020 batch.

The campus placement of the February 2020 batch has now begun, and is in full swing. More than 250 students have been selected by various organizations in the first two days of campus placements.

C-DAC ACTS announced its February 2021 batch (57th batch), with a start date in March 2021. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, it was decided to conduct an online proctored entrance examination, for which third-party vendors were selected through the scheduled. bidding process.

After completing the procted entrance exam and declaring the rankings, C-DAC received a number of complaints from the candidates regarding technical problems, connectivity issues at places and use of improper means. A large number of good candidates faced problems while using the online examination system, potentially affecting their overall ranking.

To give all the candidates an equal opportunity to excel and maintain the sanctity of the exam, C-DAC has now reintroduced for admission to the 57th PG-Diploma batch through computerized general entrance examinations at various examination centers across the country. It has been decided to conduct the examination. .

It will follow similar procedures before the COVID-19 pandemic. The new dates of the exam will be announced in 2-3 days on the C-DAC website and the candidates will be notified through their registered email and SMS. The syllabus and pattern for the exam will also remain the same as previously announced. Many cities will be offered as examination places, and as far as practicable and operable, students will be allocated a city beyond their choice.

The course may be delayed by a month due to this practice, but it is important to assure our candidates, employers and other stakeholders of quality and fairness in all aspects of our courses.

Since 1993, C-DAC has been running PG-Diploma programs with C-DAC's own experts and IT industry experts.
